There are few places in the world where art is woven so deeply into the identity of a community as it is in Laguna Beach. Every summer, artists and collectors from around the globe gather for the Festival of Arts, a tradition that has celebrated creativity, craftsmanship, and artistic excellence since 1932. Originally established during the Great Depression to bring visitors to Laguna Beach following the 1932 Los Angeles Olympic Games, the Festival has grown into one of the nation’s most respected juried fine art exhibitions, while also becoming home to the world-famous Pageant of the Masters. More than ninety years later, it remains a cornerstone of Laguna Beach’s rich artistic heritage.
This summer marks a personal milestone for me as I celebrate my 11th year exhibiting at the Festival of Arts. It has been an incredible privilege to share my work alongside so many talented artists and to meet collectors who return year after year. The Festival has become much more than an exhibition—it’s a place where friendships are formed, stories are shared, and a mutual appreciation for fine art continues to grow.
This year’s exhibit features two of my newest and most ambitious works, Dreamland and Only in a Fairy Tale. Both pieces are being displayed as massive, museum-quality prints, allowing viewers to experience every intricate detail exactly as I envisioned when standing behind the camera in the field.
Dreamland – Yosemite Valley
Dreamland was captured in the heart of Yosemite Valley, one of America’s most iconic and inspiring landscapes. Yosemite has long been a source of inspiration for artists and photographers, and on this particular morning, everything came together in a way that felt almost surreal. Soft light filtered through the valley while layers of mist drifted among the towering granite cliffs, transforming an already spectacular landscape into something that truly lived up to its name.
The image possesses an ethereal quality where light, atmosphere, and landscape blend together in perfect harmony, creating a scene that blurs the line between reality and imagination. It invites viewers to pause, explore the remarkable details, and lose themselves in the grandeur of one of our nation’s most treasured places.
Dreamland has already received recognition in several international photography competitions, earning awards for both its artistic vision and technical execution. Seeing it printed on such a monumental scale reveals subtleties that simply cannot be appreciated on a computer screen.

Only in a Fairy Tale – Multnomah Falls
Only in a Fairy Tale was photographed at the legendary Multnomah Falls in Oregon’s Columbia River Gorge, one of the most photographed waterfalls in North America. Yet despite its popularity, nature has an incredible way of creating moments that are entirely unique.
During this extraordinary morning, the conditions aligned perfectly. Soft, diffused light, lush moss-covered cliffs, flowing water, and an enchanting atmosphere combined to create a scene that genuinely feels as though it belongs in the pages of a fairy tale. The image captures not only the beauty of Multnomah Falls but also the magical feeling of standing there as nature revealed one of its fleeting masterpieces.
Like Dreamland, this photograph has been recognized with multiple international awards and represents countless hours of planning, patience, and perseverance in the field. Displayed as a large-format museum-quality print, viewers can appreciate every intricate detail—from the delicate textures of the moss to the graceful movement of the cascading water.
Experiencing Fine Art at Its Full Scale
One of the greatest challenges with landscape photography is that digital screens simply cannot convey the depth, detail, and presence of a museum-quality print. My work is photographed using some of the highest-resolution camera systems available and produced using archival materials designed to last for generations. When printed at this scale, the images become immersive experiences rather than simply photographs on a wall.
For me, creating the image is only half the journey. The final print is where the vision truly comes to life.
